A special workshop to empower you with the confidence to take off and fly in your yoga practice towards handstand and beyond.
We will begin with an uplifting flow to strengthen, open and prepare the body and mind, demonstrating that the techniques, strength and flexibility required for joyful, safe handstands can always be honed in the rest of your yoga practice. We will revisit some of the fundamental shapes and movements of yoga and demonstrate how care and attention here can prepare the body and mind for explorations upside down. There will then be plenty of time to play, ask questions and receive personal support and guidance, and you will leave with a wealth of tools to bring back into your weekly yoga classes or playtime in the park.
Whether you’re just beginning to contemplate going upside down, or wishing to build on your existing inversion practice, safe and simple beginner versions are always offered and investigated alongside more challenging modifications, so that everyone is welcome to join. Wherever you are at, you will celebrate feeling powerful, have a good laugh and even surprise yourself!
