A yoga workshop series for the LGBTQIA+ community exploring our sense of self.
This workshop is the first in the series and explores the understanding of how our bodies are a mirror of our lived experience.
Using yoga as a guide, we reflect on how the body’s processes: creating boundaries, communicating, adapting, and renewing reflect our own lived experience. Through this, we are supported to find a deeper sense of self and queer identity.
The session opens with a sharing circle to ground and connect. We’ll then move through guided meditation, breathwork, and accessible asana (yoga postures) to support embodied exploration. Creative practice, through drawing or writing, offers space to integrate and consciously plant seeds of change within ourselves.
Eri (they/them) aims to create an accessible space where you can shape the practices to suit your body and lived experience, with options offered throughout. In a world that fragments and conditions us, this session invites us to gently peel back those layers and reconnect with the quiet knowing at the core of ourselves.
This workshop is for those who identify as LGBTQIA+. Whether you are years into your queer journey or just tip toe-ing into the beginnings please come along.
Please bring a pen and paper with you and wear clothes you are comfortable to move in.
