A nourishing practice combining movement, breath, rest and sound healing to bring you into balance after the busy festive period.
The winter season invites a period of hibernation, and in Chinese medicine, it is identified as the most "yin" time of the year. To drop into this slower rhythm we will nurture our bodies through grounding poses and forward folds, promoting a deeper sense of unwinding and introspection.
Our pranayama practice will help unify breath and awareness so the citta vritta, or thought waves, so the mind can settle and we rest more effortlessly in the sea of sensations without labelling or attaching. In a place that feels a little quieter and more connected, sink into the symphony of sound with a soothing sound bath to activate the natural healing response in the body through rest.
